About this artwork

Oeschinensee is the mountain lake above Kandersteg, held at 1578 metres in a basin dammed by a prehistoric landslide. From the north shore the dark water stretches toward the cirque, with a mountain inn and a few lit windows beside the path. There are no boats and no swimmers, and the lake is not frozen. This replaces Spiez Castle, already published. The Open-Meteo model is cloudy and cool, about 9°C, with cloud cover about seven-tenths, a light wind, and no precipitation, and the sun is below the horizon.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
