About this artwork
Seealpsee sits in a limestone basin of the Alpstein above Wasserauen, a small lake reached on foot from the hamlet in the municipality of Schwende-Rüte, with steep rock walls on three sides and a few chalets at the near shore. Meadows are still green in late September, with only the first turn on the slopes, and the public road stops down in Wasserauen. This is the lake, not the painted village of Appenzell. The Open-Meteo model is for this basin cell.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
