Chaplin's World, Corsier-sur-Vevey

Above Vevey, the Manoir de Ban was Charlie Chaplin's home for the last twenty-five years of his life: the pale neoclassical manor in its park of lawns and great trees, where he lived from 1952 with Oona and their children, wrote his music and his memoirs, and walked the grounds above the lake.

About this artwork

Above Vevey, the Manoir de Ban was Charlie Chaplin's home for the last twenty-five years of his life: the pale neoclassical manor in its park of lawns and great trees, where he lived from 1952 with Oona and their children, wrote his music and his memoirs, and walked the grounds above the lake. Since 2016 the estate has been Chaplin's World, the manor kept as the family home it was, with a studio building in the park showing the world he made. The view is the manor itself, as he knew it. Soft lake-country light.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
